The project is aimed at providing health training for SMEs in rural areas as well improving the quality of and access to continuing vocational training for rural SMEs, to provide knowledge about occupational safety and health (OSH) and workplace health promotion (WHP), so far scarce in rural areas. An added value is the attempt to map WHP training needs of professionals and employers and employees living in rural areas and to design an e-learning course based on these needs. The expected result is a training course on how to plan and initiate a WHP programme, coordinate risk management, train employees in nutrition, exercise, work postures, safety, behaviour and mental health. Target users include professional in rural areas (health care and OHS specialists) and managers of SMEs.
