HEAL-THY-LIFE is a youth exchange that had 24 young people (20 participants + 4 leaders) interested in learning, exchanging and practicing healthy lifestyle.
The youth exchange took place in Ibiza from the 19 to 25 October 2015, with the participation of young people from Poland, Portugal, Germany and Spain (Ibiza). profile was people between 18 and 26 years old.
The purpose of this project was to promote healthy lifestyles among youth, sharing experiences and knowledge and practicing in a proactive, casual and relaxing atmosphere. Also promoting values such as cooperation and mutual understanding, tolerance to other cultures and respect between each other.Throughout the week of the activity, habits such as sports, healthy nutrition, cultural activities and contact with nature, emphasizing the protection of physical, emotional and spiritual health where encouraged.
In this way, we combined practical action with a dynamic and active through play methodology, sports and reflection. Using the most possible natural resources, and, in turn, favoring also the cultural exchange with the rest of the community.
Activities:
Monday 19: The day of arrival the Spanish group prepared an activity called Welcome to Spain, which was to welcome participants with a dinner with typical products. This dinner was held in the accommodation.
Tuesday 20: We made a brief presentation of the project and program E + and rules for harmonious relations during the exchange were established. We continued with the block of "positive living" and made a laughter therapy workshop to enhance the mood, break barriers and develop optimism, gratitude and good feeling. In the afternoon they were carried out games of trust, cooperation and group cohesion, it was planned to be done at the beach but due to bad weather it had to be realized within the housing. Then the Tandem where each participant, in groups of two, shared their own language with the partner and learned to improve language skills, given that the vehicular language was English and the purpose of this activity was to know some words in other languages. After an international dinner where each country contributed food typical of their place of origin was prepared.
Wednesday, 21: Yoga workshop was held in the house because of bad weather, and then performed some group dynamics, preparing a dissemination activity and the food was prepared. In the afternoon went to visit Ibiza old town, world heritage site, with a guide, they had some free time and then had dinner at a restaurant sponsored by the Consell Insular d'Eivissa.
Thursday 22: Experience on the beach: We started the day with a hiking trail from Cap des Falco to Playa den Bossa (Sal Rosa Tower) for the purpose of hiking, natural resource use, and meet a different idea of Ibiza that everybody knows that does not conform to reality. After an outdoor picnic, an exit in kayak from the Playa den Bossa was held for two hours. At the end of a football game on the beach and back to the accommodation. As it was one of the portuguese participant birthday, we made a special dinner with a barbecue for all as a surprise.
Friday 23: Santa Eulària des Riu
We began the day with an activity for relaxing the mind and balance the body, on the beach: Thai Chi. Then we visit Santa Eulària des Riu, the ethnographic museum and the river museum Can Planetas, and an official visit to City Hall with delivery of Youthpass to each participant given by the Mayor of the town. In the afternoon the activity to spread the project in the community, doing workshops on the street and culminated with a session of zumba in the town hall square, with a large participation of the public. Both lunch and dinner were sponsored by the Townhall of Santa Eulària des Riu.
Saturday 24: This day the event took place in Formentera, the "Beach Experience" with related sports played on the beach (beach volleyball) and water activities. The Council of Formentera arranged a bus to take participants to visit a tower defense Mitjorn, then take them to the beach of Ses Illetes and finally the boat. From the accomodation to the port and return was made by bus.
Sunday 25:Participants returned to their hometowns and the project activity was over.
All the participants where wearing a t-shirt with the slogan of the youth exchange and it had a big impact over the population and in the local TV and newspapers.

At the end of the exchange, participants have learned new tools to implement a healthy lifestyle in their day by day and are able to compare and contrast the different forms of healthy life that can enjoy.
