In the project Theodore Puskas Foundation as lead partner and Association Veľké Kapušany and Surrounding as cross border partner are planning to make studies in renewable energy sector. The main aim of the project is to strengthen the cross border cooperation and establishment of partnerships On the basis of studies detailed and virtual databases will be created for entrepreneurs as well as other members of the target groups (citizens, municipalities, non-profit organizations). The first module of the web-based system will contain a list of companies and their products in the field of renewable energy. The other part of the system will be offer a module calculating needed renewable energy sources to change energetic supplies of building. The project also lay emphasis upon demonstration and popularisation of knowledge and up-to date issues of renewable energy studies. Achievements: Most of the target area is a disadvantaged region. Only a few enterprises are using renewable energy actively. Supporting and improving the situation of renewable energy is of common interest. The main aim of the project was to contribute to the realization of economic, social and cultural cooperation and strengthening the integration of the two regions by means of conscious use of renewable energy. The project resulted in useful studies about renewable resources, conferences and a newly developed website.
