The centre of this project it the harmonisation and optimising of activities (monitoring, management and conservation measures) for the implementation of the NATURA 2000 directive (Fauna-Flora-Habitat-directive and directive on the conservation of wild birds) within the open space of the Lower Oder Valley. By means of a harmonised German-Polish management of NATRUA 2000 areas within the open space Lower Oder Valley the nature conservation aim is to develop an innovative model for other European border regions. Beyond that, the general public, the regional residents and the visitors are to be informed about the contents and goals of NATURA 2000. Achievements: Stand: 20.08.2014Im Mittelpunkt dieses Projektes steht die Harmonisierung und Optimierung von Aktivitäten (Monitoring, Management und Erhaltungsmaßnahmen) zur Umsetzung der NATURA 2000 Richtlinien (Fauna-Flora-Habitat-Richtlinie und Vogelschutz-Richtlinie) im Naturraum des Unteren Odertals.Die Investitionen der beiden Partner wurden 2014 übergeben. In Stützkow und Merscherin kann man auf den Beobachtungstürmen die Natur beobachten und das Besucherhaus in Criewen informiert seine Gäste über Natur und Umwelt im Unteren Odertal.In Gryfino - auf dem Hochwasserdamm Regalica kann man naturnah und spielerisch Umweltbildung erleben. Der Naturlehrpfad und viele Spielgeräte laden zum Verweilen ein.Mittels eines harmonisierten deutsch-polnischen Managements von NATURA 2000 Gebieten im Naturraum Unteres Odertal wurde ein innovatives Modell für andere europäische Grenzregionen entwickelt.Im Rahme des Projektes ist eine gemeinsame Internetseite entstanden.Im Rahmen des Projektes fanden 2 Workshops und 1 internationale Konferenz statt.
