Within the project “ H2 international” the H2 SchülerInnenzentrum, a catholic youth centre in St.Pölten intends to host 1 volunteer. The main objectives are to:+ receive intercultural and foreign language input through hosting an European volunteer+ Stregthen partnerships through a concrete EVS activity+ support and give recognition to social institutions working with less privileged clients+ support youth work+promote volunteering as an added value within society+promote peace+increasing the understanding and sensitivity towards other countries and cultures+fight racism, xenophobia and intoleranceH2 SchülerInnenzentrum has been involved in EVS activities since many years. In the last years an important impact by EVS volunteers could have been measured on their target group - the pupils who visit the center. That’s why they are continuing with the programme and give the next generation of young people the chance to meet an international EVS volunteer and broaden their horizon.The project is coordinated by Grenzenlos. As St.Pölten is close to Vienna the Volunteer is connected with other EVS volunteers living in Vienna and surrounding and is invited to take part in monthly meetings and organized free time activities on a voluntarly base.
