In Romania, Albania and Italy, as well as all around Europe, many youngsters are growing up without the necessary knowledge about the importance of the environment. Green School Leader project deals with topic of environmental behaviors, with a specific focus on Waste Management. The main activities of the project will be: - Public presentations in high schools promoting active Waste Management and youth empowerment; - Prepare and issue a newsletter about green issues, updating the website of the hosting organizations, writing articles about their discovering and learning experience on the blog of the EVS volunteers; - Social animating for children and youth with fewer opportunities, specifically on Enviromental issues; - Plan, design and implement a Waste Management Campaign in Tirana and Baia Mare; During the 9 months of the service, EVS volunteers will have time for developing their ideas about their own project on Environmental awareness in the schools in which the project will be held. They will be free to propose activities and the staff of the hosting organizations will support them and create the possibilities to realize their initiatives. The EVS volunteers will work in close cooperation with the staff, the local volunteers and with the special support of the supervisor and the mentors.
