The project "Green practices in urban neighbourhoods" is a partnership between Kulturlabor Trial&Error (Germany), Svit Ukraine, ATA - Asociația de Tineri din Ardeal Transylvania, Georgian Youth for Europe and ECOS (Portugal), it will take 24 months and include preparation, planning, implementation and evaluation of 5 EVS mobilities in Berlin, Germany with Trial&Error. With focus on such topics as sustainability, youth employment, permaculture and diy, the project will tackle the challenges of practising, teaching and sharing knowledge about green living in contemporary urban environment.
Each mobility includes 2 months preparation face, 12 months of EVS and 2 months of evaluation, reflection and spreading the results of the project. During the EVS the volunteers will focus on working together with members of Trial&Error to build an urban gardening spot, engage the neighbourhood, facilitate platform for discussions, exchange of knowledge and skills related to sustainability, environment and upcycling. As well, the volunteers will be engaged in the regular activities of the Trial&Error, such as Foodsharing events, swap shop, Recycled Creativity Festival, DIY workshops in the project space and events of Trial&Error cooperation partners. The project will start with 3 mobilities and then the following 2 will overlap with appr. 6 months gap, so that we can ensure the continuity of the project activities.
The foreseen project outcomes will be developed partnership with future cooperations between the sending and the hosting organisations, 5 successfully accomplished mobilities, platform for exchange about green practices in the neighbourhood of Trial&Error as well as diy publication about the experience of the volunteers, but, of course, we are open for more unexpected green and creative acts to be ignited through the way of the project.
