The host of the 8-days training course Green Enterprise is Macedonian organization Planetum which has made a strong cooperation with nine environment protection and youth organizations from Italy, Romania, Germany, Croatia, Spain, Turkey, Poland, Ireland, Latvia and Bulgaria. This training course will take place in Strumica, Macedonia, and involve 32 young people, volunteers and staff of non-governmental organizations in age from 20 to 35, who will be trained in the area of environment protection and eco-social entrepreneurship. The idea and the concept of the Green Enterprise was developed to address the need of the youth to feel useful, productive and accepted within their environment and society. Main aim of the project is to awake young people's awareness about the possibilities for new green jobs and increase participants' employment through opening of an eco-social enterprise. Using learning methods such us group work, discussions and debates, interactive presentations, case studies and site visits, public events, work with social and mass media, reflection and evaluation, creative problem solving and idea generation techniques participants will improve their competencies in green living, business planning, start-up and operating of eco-social enterprise. Within the training program participants will also explore local values and culture, experience intense intercultural learning process and discover local examples of eco-social entrepreneurship.
Through the training the participants will strengthen their own capacities for eco-social entrepreneurship and will be able to cascade those skills to other young people when going back at their native environment. For participants and their organizations this training course will not only provide new knowledge, skills and attitudes in the field of entrepreneurship, environment, intercultural collaboration and active participation, but also might contribute to creation of new businesses and new job openings in participants' communities. For organizations it means more independent and sustainable funding, diversification of the funding sources, for participants - new opportunities of professional growth and reaching their vision, fulfilling their aims related to environment protection and sustainable development in their communities.
