Glottodrama Courses for Teaching Foreign Languages Through Creative Drama Methodology
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our organization carried out this project with the aim of broadening the scope of its work and involving more adult learners into continuous education and lifelong learning. The domain of our work belongs to drama and theatre education and we decided to focus on providing high quality and engaging courses for improvement of foreign language competences, primarily English, through creative drama methodology. Through this project we sent our staff, a pedagogue, an actress and an English teacher to a structured course on Glottodrama to Novacultur in Italy. Through this project our staff became “Glottodrama Qualified Teachers” and are entitled to organize, on behalf of our organization, Glottodrama Courses supported, monitored and officially recognized by Novacultur, the coordinator of the European Glottodrama Projects as long as the courses are under their supervision. Our staff also joined the international Glottodrama teaching network. Since our organization attracts learners interested in drama and theatre we are proud to claim we managed to motivate 16 adult learners to participate and follow a course for learning English through creative drama methodology and our learners reached significant results in improvement of their English fluency, particularly in oral production. We are also very proud of the outstanding feedback provided by our learners about their satisfaction with the methodology. By the end of this project we have put in place standing structures (including organization, theoretical and practical know-how, empirical evidence, experience and testimonies from participants) in order to integrate courses for teaching English through creative drama methodology in the regular ongoing programme of our organization.
