The project will bring together two groups - Youth for Development (Y4D) , Malta and Fondazzione Oratori Milanesi (FOM), Italy - for a job shadowing experience in which two leaders from Y4D will follow work performed in FOM. This project will be an opportunity to get a glimpse on youth work practice in oratori and share methodologies which could be adopted locally with Maltese youth. The aim of this short experience is also that of finding and discussing with various youth leaders ideas and possibilities for an exchange. In this way, both organisations would be able to share their practices, knowledge while learning from each other. In this job shadowing experience, the two participants will have the opportunity to observe and reflect on different practices, and move beyond the local scene of youth work. Participants will be also involved in the planning and organisation of workshops to be done in the oratorio. The impact envisaged for such a project is to further motivate the participants and equip them with innovative knowlegde and ways of practices. This will then eventually enable other young people benefit from such opportunities; new ideas can then be put into practice in their regulare weekly meetings. We are also hoping that this job shadowing experience will serve as a fire starter for a possible future youth exchange and also serve in creating a support network amongst different organisations.
