“Give me five!” is an Erasmus+, KA1 project prepared by School Centre for Post, Economics and Telecommunications Ljubljana. The partnership involves schools from Great Britain and Austria. The project, which will run from September 2016 to August 2017, includes 2 set of motilities of students in partner schools. Seven students with an accompanying teacher for will be sent in each school, for a period of two weeks. The school will prepare a practical training, both schools will also provide practical training in companies. The results of the mobility of students will be recognized through Europass and ECVET. We are also planning teachers job shadowing; three teachers will spend 5 days in UK school. The mentioned job shadowing will be associated with sports management. The project is closely linked to the European development plan of our school, where we present the areas we want to develop. These areas are: well planned placements at different companies which will enable students to connect theory with practice and gain insight into the enterprise work, to improve the recognition of our schools in Slovene and international environment, job shadowing will enable a transfer of good practice in our school and the development of sports management. Moreover, we focus on development of language learning through international mobility, on the students and teachers side.
Our objectives are: high quality of the partnership, high quality of motilities, recognition of placements for students, supported by ECVET. All our aims are connected with the objectives of Europe 2020 and objectives of Erasmus +. With the help of project objectives, we want to reduce early school leaving, achieve a better integration with the labour market and foster the professional and personal development of participants. At the same time, we are planning broad dissemination of the project results to other Slovenian and international organizations. All mobility programs are agreed with the partners, as well as the certification of ECVET and Europass, we prepared the criteria for the selection of participants, the project management plan, a plan of dissemination and evaluation. We plan to disseminate the results by blogging, posting articles, posting on the home website and on different European portals, we will also send information to partners abroad and disseminate our results at the national study groups and in meetings of the principals. The project will be evaluated regularly, final assesment will be done in a form of internal reports, evaluation areas are already outlined. We believe that by systematically prepared project “Give me five 2016!” we will raise the expertise of our participants, and also affect the wider professional and other public in Slovenia and abroad.
