27 young chefs from Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, and Germany have met in Dresden in order to reflect on the meaning and perspectives of their profession, as well as to gather international experiences. They could exchange their personal and professional views and ideas and met new people from differerent countries.
Each 7 socially disadvantaged young people from 4 partner countries have cooked together in the morning time and in the early afternoon. Each morning a different group has been in charge of the day’s cooking.
With regards to the thematic content of this meeting, the focus was consumption and its health and social aspects. These issues have been introduced to students during the collective cooking and further elaborated during other activities and workshops.
The participants have been highly involved in the project’s organization, which allowed them to develop their personal competencies.
The project has offered a meeting possibility for youth in the transition between school and professional life.
In the project’s final stages, the participants have successfully presented their abilities on a street festival in Dresden.
As a projects final products short films have been created. They are dealing with the topic of consumption and spread the meeting’s idea.
