The aim of the project is to draw attention to youth unemployment in Turkey and EU countries. Project will be conducted with the participation of Turkey, Italy, Romania and Greece. In project, a total of 24 young people from Dinar (Turkey), Sibiu (Romania) and Drama (Greece) will visit Palermo (Italy). Participants will be unemployed youth aged 20-30. They will stay 5 days in Palermo. During this period, the causes of youth unemployment, the results of it, its impacts on youth and the economy and measures to reduce unemployment will be discussed by using non-formal learning methods, the knowledge and experience sharing will be made. After the activity, a report will be prepared to be submitted to local policy-makers. Through this project, young people will have a chance to take an active role about unemployment which is the most important issues concerning their future. Projects will allow young people to develop some competencies like to gain awareness of the European dimension of youth unemployment, especially through peer education to explore new cultures, habits and lifestyles and to strengthen some values such as friendship, solidarity and democracy.
