Gdynia enriched by EVS Volunteers 2014/2015

The project focused on three target groups:
- 8 volunteers: 4 people from Ukraine, 3 from Italy, 1 from Romania
- Partner organizations: 4 host organizations in Poland, including 1 coordinating organization, 6 sending organizations from the countries of the program and the neighboring partner countries of Eastern Europe
- Local community Tricity.
The theme of the project was the activation of the local community and equal opportunities for children and youth. The aim of the project was to support the development of a democratic and open society.
Volunteers worked on 4 different fields:
- Work with children and youth from families with "problems" in the Association for Children and Youth "Vitava" from September 2014 for 10 months, and 1 volunteer from March 2015 for 12 months 1 volunteer;
- Work with the local community in the districts of Gdynia in 3 different branches of the Public Library in Gdynia:
1 volunteer from Ukraine from September 2014 for 6 months, 1 volunteer from Romania from October 2014 for 12 months and 1 volunteer from Italy from January 2015 for 12 months
- Youth work at the Center for Youth Cooperation and occasionally supporting other Gdynia organizations working with the CWM, 1 volunteer from September 2014 for 12 months
- Work with young children in the Local Government Kindergarten No. 30 in Gdynia, 1 volunteer from Ukraine from September 2014 for 10 months.
The result of the project was the development of individual volunteers, communities and organizations involved in the project.
