The project will involve 80 young people 15 - 18 years old from Balbieriskis (Prienų dst.), Anykščiai, Moletai, Akademija (Kedainių dst.) and Vilnius.This project aims to give young people the knowledge and skills necessary for active civic participation, self-awareness as a citizen of the EU, creating communication and cooperation with the EU Parliament and the Parliamentary members area.During the project in Vilnius, there will be organized seminars and meetings for young people with the EU Parliament and the members of the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania, all Parliamentary committees delegates. We will explore the main EU citizens rights and values (respect for diversity; independent; initiative; trust; solidarity) and the importance of these aspects for the responsible, creative and proactive personal formation. Young people will learn and understand the Parliamentary Committees activities , their functions and communication, forms of cooperation with the society. Also, young people will find out how the EU's attitudes and values are implemented in Lithuanian legislation and what are the possibilities for young person's participating in the EU and the Republic of Lithuania law creation process. In order to present the project and participants' experience to their peers in all project partner schools will be organized presentation events.Throughout the project favorable atmosphere for learning and personal development will be created . Project participants' personal, social and communication skills development will be based on the principles of non-formal education.
