The project "Voluntary Vocational Internships – Freiwillige Berufliche Praktika" centers on vocational schools, training companies and vocational programmes, that are interested in German-Czech cooperation in the domain of vocational education. In the context of the project, students, apprentices and young professionals aged 16 and up are able to take part in a vocational internship for at least two weeks in the neighboring country. The main objective is to convey new professional experiences to the young people and to enable them to increase their professional competences, to qualify them further and to increase their chances on the European labor-market. Additionally the learners, who participate in voluntary vocational internships, are signaling their readiness for mobility. Furthermore the participants acquire valuable intercultural experience and numerous key skills both in everyday and in professional life. The coordination center for Czech-German youth exchange – Tandem coordinates the planned mobility activities and supports all involved partner organisations in preparation, processing and postprocessing of the internships. Tandem gives advice, offers supporting events and provides pedagogic materials for Czech-German student and youth exchange. The project "Voluntary Vocational Internships – Freiwillige Berufliche Praktika" is funded by EU-programm Erasmus+.
