Evaluating the work being done during the previous summer, the organization together with the EVS performers had an idea to continue the started initiative in the next summer. As well as this project helped to realize the basic objective of the union - meaningful leisure and support of youth initiatives.
The aim of the project was a useful leisure opportunities for children and young people by realizing their ideas.
There were participate 12 young people in the project, aged 17-30 years, from 5 countries - Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Hungary and Netherland who were motivated to realize their ideas and in work with young people.
During the project there was created and taught a group of international leaders. As well as the project gave the opportunity for young leaders to develop an offer for children and youth classes, gave the opportunity for young people to organize and conduct thematic lessons for children during summer holidays for 8 weeks, and helped young people to evaluate their skills and abilities for their future development after the project. Both training and activities and evaluation were done by the non-formal education methods during the project.
The EVS project were enrich our centre's activity by using the added intercultural dimension - volunteers from other country in our team. This project were provide two benefits - volunteers were able to learn from our experience and methods, and the second one - we were able to learn their experience and techniques.
Volunteers had the opportunity to learn how works our union, both in local and international level, how it is to live in another country, and to understand the local culture. Volunteers gained self-confidence to carry out the project, when they get home, and to pass on the experience gained to others in their organizations. Young people know more about Europe and how to become an active citizen. Acting in the international organization, they feel more connected to the European and world level, and better understand the positive impact on society.
