Two English teachers, non native speakers, visited a one week further training for teaching English in primary school in UK. At our school we begin to teach English in year 3. The course was a special course for primary English. So the contents of songs, poems, rhymes, plays, classroom phrases etc. will take place in the English lessons. The materials and suggestions can be transfirmed to be used in higher grade classes. There will be improvement of the activ and passiv language competition as well as knowledge about the country and its inhabitants f.e. at private accommodation and excursions. There had been the possibility to make contact for school partnerships of erasmus+ between the other international participants of the course. To do the further training together opens the possibility to add the new knowledges in team work to the curriculum and disseminate them to the staff (e.g. at conferences). It will motivate the collegues to go to further trainings abroad, too. The awareness of teachers and students towards a Europe growing together more and more will be increased. The further training is part of longlife learning.
