Formation professionnelle à l'étranger France-Finlande
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Together with a Finnish school and Finnish companies, our vocational school gives students the opportunity to do a work experience abroad. The students involved in this scheme are in their final year of car bodywork or mechanics. The period lasts an entire month on location and is financially supported by the EU (Erasmus+ scheme) and by the Gaston Barré Vocational School. During this period, the students must validate a work experience portfolio listing various tasks to be completed. In order to pass their final exam, they must validate all the tasks recorded. Following their experience abroad, the students can also choose to sit an extra exam called “Mobility optional test” which gives them the occasion to get extra points in their exam assessment. In other respects, this trip abroad is a unique opportunity for these youngsters to have access to another culture. This opportunity is usually denied to them, considering their social background. Therefore, this work experience is an exceptional opening to meet other young Europeans and immerse in another culture. Though dubious to start with, our students often wish to stay longer in Finland and to go back later. This is why we think it is very important to carry on offering this incredibly rewarding experience to our students.
