Formation de l'équipe pédagogique par le CEJI
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The C.R.V.I. is an association created and subsidized by the Walloon Region. His main mission is the integration of foreign person or persons of foreign origin. Its jurisdiction covers the 20 communes of the district of Verviers . Verviers is experiencing a complicated and changing reality. Impoverishment of the city and suburbanization of the affluent center , lined with a significant presence migration on public space, influences the relationship between the groups. Positions stiffen and crystallize , racist or discriminating skids becoming increasingly common , and the local media , avid readers , resort to ever more sensationalist and unconcerned about journalistic ethics means (only little management of cyber hate present on the forums) . Verviers situation is often presented in the national media as the news was often burning : the ban on headscarves in schools, supposedly radical Muslims homes in mosques, mass immigration denaturing the city. .. the fear of the other makes its nest , and our social partners are facing increasingly important discriminatory behavior . The " training" department is still in a consolidation phase and is still in need of tools and educational processes. It faces new types of intervention requests: consulting, intercultural mediation , methodological support and modules targeted around the fight against discrimination, racism and Islamophobia . With a view to increase the skills of the "teaching"team, to innovate and to improve the quality of our training offer , we plan to suscribe for two trainings , organised by CEJI . They can provide development opportunities for our staff and our partner's. The first training is called " diversité des croyances et des valeurs", it takes place in Greece from 11/09/2014 till 11/14/2014 . The second training is called "confronter l'antisémitisme et l'islamophobie " and takes place in Amsterdam from the 22 to the 27 of March 2015. The third " classroom of diffrence" takes place in Prague from the 3 thd of May til the 8th. We aim to expand the skills of our team , to equip them with more knowledge and know -how , with them discovering new tools directly usable in our areas of expertise. Over the medium term , it is good to standardize and improve the team's trainings. With CEJI's trainings, real tools are available , the participant are testing them and internalizing the learning process they will use. train in the materials that are ours is a necessity, because the topics are hot and all but neutral . In the long term, we hope to train a significant number of services in intercultural communication and diversity management. We have become a major player with issues related to integration, we need to promote our staff's trainings and to make this team, a team of clearing , analyzing and solving experts. We really believe that these three trainings are relevant and complementary . They would enable our workers to be more legitimate and armed in their functions. They will be able to offer better respond to various issues related to multiculturalism in our society and the coexistence of people that goes with it (as you will see in the appended, we have attached a press review , showing Verviers’situation as somewhat complicated ) . The C.R.V.I. has an inclusive vision for its work that is to say, he does not plan things without the collaboration of public, political and associative partners . A better coexistence supposes a better understanding of each other and a rejection of isolationism and community. The trainings are for us the levers wich will enable us to deconstruct prejudices and sociocultural stereotypes and may bring the public together by creating synergies , which will make them aware and actors involved in the future of their city. In short, helping the construction of a civil society, with actors of its own changes, and aware of the environment through a systemic analysis that denies all populism and stigmatization.
