The project: Formal or nonformal education ? is a youth exchange which, for 11 days and 1 day travel, wishes to bring together 40 youngsters and 4 leaders from Portugal (Azores) and Romania, to promote non-formal education and the equality of chances. At the same time, it is meant to fight against dropout and to support the integration of youngsters. The project will implement the activities from the application in the period: 30 June – 10 July 2016, in the cities of Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel - Acores.The main objective of the project is to stimulate the interest of youngsters for formal education by debating upon educational systems in Europe and stimulate the interest for non-formal education by presenting this alternative means of education.The non-formal methods applied throughout the project are: interactive games, workshops, debates and outdoors activities that will take place during the project. The preparation step will educate disadvantaged youngsters in order to work together at make the activities that will take place in the project. They will be actively involved in the development, evaluation and dissemination of the project and will carry the message to the local communities in which the project takes place. The project will have a local impact through the message it sends to the local communities using the means of non-formal education, message which will be visible in the educational institutions and in the groups surrounding the partner NGOs. At the same time, this message will be visible in the European local communities where youngsters will pass on to their colleagues the methods, the abilities and the knowledge acquired in Portugal.The final results of the project will be visible in the following years, when the degree of the participation of youngsters both in formal and non-formal means of education will grow, when youngsters, especially disadvantages youngsters, will participate to future European youth projects.The concrete results can be maesured so: 1.The social inclusion of a total number of 24 disadvantaged youngsters;2.The education and the prepation through non-formal activities of a number of 120 youngsters from 2 countries;3.The promovation of tolerance between the participants of the project, including 200 disadvantaged youngsters in all the steps of the project and which will activly work with the other youngsters;4.The promovation of the Erasmus+ program and of its mobilities to a number of 400 youngsters.
