Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

CONTEXT AND BACKROUND Santa María de los Ángeles VET School is a Secondary School whose educational offer covers Upper-Secondary Education, VET, and Advanced VET. In our KA102 projects several VET groups can enroll, namely Administrative Management, Commercial Activities, Health Care Assistant and Pharmacy. Our School has always bet for our student’s internationalization in our transnational educational offer since we do not only participate in KA102 projects, but also in European Voluntary Service (EVS henceforth) since 2009, not with our own project, but receiving an average of 3 volunteers per school year; in KA103 projects; Youth in Action; Comenius Projects (currently KA219) and Camp America. Our School has participated in Erasmus + projects since 2006, at first through our Andalusian government, and after with our own projects applied directly to our Spanish National Agency (SEPIE). PROJECT AIMS - To increase or maintain the number of students and staff who benefit from these programs. - To guarantee high quality standards in the organization and development of mobilities, by keeping direct and constant communication with our intermediary and host companies and by participating in trainings organized by SEPIE. - To promote and market the European programs our Institution benefit from. - To manage all the necessary documentation. - To provide support prior, during and after the mobility, through the involved teachers and our European volunteers. - To bestow full recognition to mobilities, if and when the beneficiary parties meet the established requirements in the agreement. PARTICIPANTS NUMBER AND PROFILE We have carried out 4 students’ mobilities for Internship and 4 teachers’ mobilities for training, company visits and students’ monitoring. The participating students’ age are between 18-23 with a medium-low socio-economic profile and personal, professional motivations and interest for other cultures and ways of living. None of them have had any previous international or working experience. There have been 4 staff mobilities, two teachers from the Administrative branch visited Jyväskylä, Finland; and two teachers from the Health branch visited Køge, Denmark. ACTIVITIES First of all, two informative sessions were made to the interested candidates at the beginning of the two school years the project has been valid. After, previous experiences were promoted and spread by means of videos, billboards, information points and counselling provided via the International Relations Department, via the European Volunteers, via former participants and via the whole staff. Also, there has been an informative session in Staff Meetings. Secondly, the selection of the candidates took place, according to the criteria established by the above mentioned department. Once the participants were chosen, they have been advised in that concerning trip, accommodation, Internship insurance and, in addition, they attended the corresponding language courses. The next step was the educational programs management, with the elaboration of all required documentation and signing of agreement among participant parties. Afterwards, the mobilities took place: Internships in accordance to the students’ educational program and participating staff, the latter focused on new methodologies and educational technologies. During their stay, there was a continuous monitoring via telephone and e-mail with the students’ and the intermediary and host institutions. Finally, their experience was disseminated by different means specified in section 8. A good example could be the presentation of our good practices to other teachers from other schools in training meetings. RESULT AND OBTAINED IMPACT, AS WELL AS EXPECTED LONG-TERM BENEFITS Our results refer to the increase in our students’ employability, their linguistic skills in foreign language and the acquisition of new training capacities. Also, the consolidation and reinforcement of institutional bonds with collaborating institutions and creation of new connections with new ones are key. Transnational training periods are a key strategic plan in our School, which fosters our international dimension and boosts our possibilities to succeed in projects to come, given the accumulated experience.
