Our school is a secondary school which at the moment is implementing different programmes which imply its internacionalization as an educational institution. On the one hand, we have a 'Plurilingual Programme', where subjects like Technology and Science are taught in English. We also have what is called a 'Contrato-Programa', this is a kind of programme which aim is to attend the different needs of students coming from different backgrounds, in the case of students with good marks, this programme offers the the possibility to start to learn a second or third foreign language (depending on the case), German. On the other hand, we carried out a multilateral Comenius project ('Let's Create a Multicultural Europe') with six European partners that finished last year and we are carrying out a new Erasmus+ K2 (Youth, Multilingualism and Work Perspectives in Europe) with five European partners for this and the next school year.In this context, specific needs have arisen in the teaching staff who teaches the 'Plurilingual Programme' and the 'Contrato-Programa' in order to improve their linguistic abilities in the English and German languages respectively, as well as at a methodological level (CLIL).Generally speaking, in our school, this need to improve their English knowledge involves a great part of our teachers and has been met by the 'Training Scheme at Schools', where a course called 'English Oral Skills' has been included. Nevertheless, to meet the specific needs of the staff who teach the programmes above mentioned, training courses in the United Kingdom and Germany are required in order to improve our foreign language skills, as well as to provide us with more resources and tools to be used in the classroom.These courses use an eminently practical methodology by the preparation of didactic units, resources and so on. In addition they offer us the possibility to get into touch with other teachers of the same subjects on different countries and the chance to exchange materiales, experiences or even the development of projects as partners in the near future.
