From next year we start teaching English from 1st grade and our school will participate in a municipal science course which will lead to a science ambassador at the school. Therefore we have chosen to focus on these subjects 2014 to 2016. Furthermore we have a challenge in gathering our school, which for several years has been divided into several departments: school Department, before- and after-school care, and handicap section. The project intends to create a community across the departments. Therefore the participants on the various courses and job shadowing will be mixed from the different departments. The aims of this project are: - To improve teachers' and pedagogues´ skills in science. - To improve teachers' and pedagogues´ skills in early English education. - To continue our school's international cooperation. To make sure that EU remains an integrated part of our daily work at the school. - To create a project that all parts of the school will have ownership to. - To strengthen the school's profile in the community as a school with an active international cooperation, an ambitious science education and a competent, innovative and committed English teaching. -To create interest for science among the students and develop their English competences We will send 16 employees on courses and job shadowing. These teachers and pedagogues will be selected by our management. But all teachers and pedagogues who teach science and English will be involved in the project through the network group that we create. We have good experience of such networking from previous projects.
