Campus Berufsbildung e.V. is a registered association which is located at Geneststraße. Our vocational school has an intercultural profile. Among many other school activities, such as our annual event in the context of 'school without racism/school with courage', we enable our students a practical training of twenty weeks in the fifth semester to complete abroad.
Students of geriatric care also have the possibility to do a six week practical training abroad. Interested Students must have a good grade point average and acquire at least a B1 level in their language skills.
Good foreign language competence makes it possible for nursery nurses to work in
bilingual kindergartens and assist children with their homework. We also fulfill the requirements of our cooperating partners for the practical training whose wish is to realize the increasing desire of parents for bilingual education.
Besides linguistic improvement, students gain more independence abroad during the practical training and achieve professional maturity.
We want to make the training in 'geriatric care training' more attractive for our students and show them that there are many job opportunities at home and abroad. Improved English knowledge in relation to further studies is a great advantage, since most research publications appear in English.
We prepare the participants for the practical training with additional language
courses, regional and cultural studies.
Our cooperating partner, TellusGroup, organizes internships and accommodations. Each
student has a personal practical instructor during their training. Their level of qualification
should be at least NVQ Level 3 in order to be comparable with the German trainers. TellusGroup provides an advisor who introduces the participants to their facilities and provides counseling when problems arise. Moreover, there is a peer advisor for students.
The participants receive practical training tasks from different class teachers that are planned, executed and evaluated on site. These tasks are also available in the national language. Their training experiences are to be reported in their final work experience report.
In order to assess the learning progress of the participants, it is mandatory for them to write
weekly reports and submit them promptly to the school. In addition, a visit to the host country is carried out by a class teacher. The aims of this visit are to promote contacts with practice facilities and to discuss the theses topic with the students.
Finally, the participants will receive a certificate from their institution and a euro mobility pass which is a certified document for the proof of stay abroad. The internship will be graded in the diploma.
We have developed questionnaires regarding the practical trainings, accommodations, preparation and general satisfaction for the evaluation of the stay.
We publish our students’ experiences abroad on our website, Facebook and a blog.
