Firestarter: Sparks* is a Partnership Building Activity that brings together 23 people from 8 European countries and that deals with the theme of youth and performance arts, in an European context. The project focuses on the reassessment of existing partnerships and on the development of new collaborations; the activity is designed in such a way that for 3 intensive working days, participants can share experiences, methods and good practices as representatives of organizations and informal groups who work with young people through performance arts from Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy and Great Britain. The aim of the meeting is to establish a long lasting partnership and plan and agree on future projects as well as learn about the challenges that may arise from international collaboration. The participants will identify areas of cooperation and creative opportunities through debates and activities on the various topics concerning theater, media and other arts in connection with youth, simulation, creative processes and other non-formal education tools. The project will also comprise the possible events organized in the Netherlands and in Europe in the newly formed informal network of the "Firestarters" which includes organizations and informal groups from all around Europe who are coming together to realize projects like training courses, residencies and festivals and develop a methodology on youth and performance arts for educational purposes.
