The project "Find Your Talent, Find a Job" is a cooperation between IB Berlin-Brandenburg gGmbH Betrieb Brandenburg Nordost and CEFIR Dunkerque. It consists of 2 youth exchanges which built on each other as well as planning meeting.Target group of the project are disadvantaged youth. They are socially disadvantaged, are from low-income families, have learning difficulties and often very poor school records. They are now finished with school but due to their disadvantages have much lower chances on the labour market than other youth. In this context, job orientation and vocational preparation is especially important. The project aims to show the participating youths their job possibilities and to discover and develop their skills and talents which will help them in their job choice. Additionally, social skills which are often underdeveloped in this target group, such as team work and conflict management, will be trained.Through a mixture of short internships, visits to companies, excercises and role plays to improve social skills and to improve the self- assessment of skills as well as language games and intercultural elements, the youth discover their job perspectives. They are able o better assess their own skills and talents and got to know different vocations which improves their ability to choose a profession. Additionally, they improve their social skills especially those that are important on the labour market. They also improve their intercultural skills. Both youth exchanges will each have 24 participants between the age of 16 and 22 years from France and Germany. They will be accompanied byfour youth workers as well as 2 interpreters. The first youth exchange takes place 24.01.2017 - 31.01.2017 in Germany and the second from 04.04.2017 to 11.04.2017 in France.
