EUROSTUDENT is a project that aims to collate data on social factors of European higher education institutions. In 2014, Georgia participated as a pilot country in the EUROSTUDENT V. The national research of EUROSTUDENT was conducted with the support of Georgia’s Ministry of Education and Sciences (MES).EUROSTUDENT’s consortium plans on carrying out the 6th wave of EUROSTUDENT in 2016-2018 years. Georgia will be fully included in 6th wave. A National research organization with support of Georgia’s MES will implement the national study of EUROSTUDENT VI.The study will bring to light Georgian student’s socio-economic situation and living conditions. The results will be analyzed in light of the data of European countries’ students and will be taken into consideration in comparative analysis report.The study encompasses all Georgian MA and BA students studying in ISCED 6 and 7 programs, including the citizens of Georgia as well as foreign students. Based on these criteria, representative and reliable sample will be done. The standard EUROSTUDENT questionnaire will be used.The national research will encompass the following stages:1. Study preparatory stage;2. Research/field work stage;3. Data cleaning, analysis (and sending) stage;4. Analysis and report preparatory stage;5. Publication and dissemination stage.EUROSTUDENT VI revealed Georgian students problems, specific needs of different groups; the existing picture will be analysed in light of gender, age, region, and other factors, and conduct comparative analysis in regards to state vs. private university student’s socio-economic factors and conditions of life.This project will allow the MES to understand the different European nation’s students’ socio-economic and life experiences, to analyse the student’s mobility parameters and learn about the challenges of other European students.This project will allow the MES of Georgia to plan appropriate policy to support students.
