FA.RE - FAcilitate transcultural RElationships within multiethnic manufacturing enterprises

The RATIONALE of the proposal was based on the need of enterprises with high presence of multiethnic workers for an employee(s) who facilitates multiethnic relationships and acquires a key role within the process of socialization in the workplace (towards workers of his own ethnic network and the enterprise itself). MAIN AIM was to transfer (it was a geographic, linguistic/cultural and functional transfer) the following products designed within Equal project “AIM” (IT-S2-MDL-118): a) Competence Profile of the Facilitator of transcultural relationships within a multiethnic company; b) Training Programme for the development of the Competences for facilitation: with minimum contents of a typical training setting such as objectives, didactic methodology(ies) used, timeframe, entry prerequisites, etc; c) Devices and Tools (guidelines, protcolos of use…) to be used during the role of facilitator. EXPECTED OUTCOME was the complete transfer, spread and dissemination of the 3 products described (as a Training Model) for developing the competences and good practices necessaries to facilitate transcultural relationships within multiethnic companies. The foreseen transfer was within the same sector (industrial manufacturing companies), in different contexts of re-use (France, Germany and South of Italy). As a whole, the transfer has involved, during the project lifetime, 122 multiethnic workers. The ENVISAGED IMPACTS referred to (among others): 1) multiethnic workers who take the facilitators as role models for their professional development and complete integration in the organisational culture of the employing company; they acquired a feeling of belonging towards the company; 2) multiethnic companies who witness improvement in their economic performances and in relationships among the workforce as a whole; 3) the local territory, because the professional integration at work of immigrants boosts their social integration within the community; 4) the professionally integrated worker act as “spill over” on fellow-countrymen and the same is for enterprises who can transfer the acquired good practice (on multiethnic relationships) to customer/supplier companies and/or local/national/international branches.
