Aims of the module programThis module offers a program of advanced studies on the European Union. The Course of Specialization on External Action and EU Law, aims, at first state, to promote a thorough and more precise understanding of political, economic and juridical foundations of european integration process. More specifically, the aim of the study programme is to offer a solid and quality teaching course and training which can equip the students with advanced features of the EU law and its foreign policy, and the impact of the integration process in the foreign policy of member States. Over the past twenty years, the development of EU foreign policy has been one of the most challenging aspects of the process of integration, and it is clear the ambition and necessity to make the European Union ”stronger in the pursuit of its essential objectives and more present in the world”. On this bases, the approach is governed by the consideration of the Union as an international or global actor.Descripción of The Course 6,5 créditosDirector: Profa. Dra. General Direction on European Affairs maintains and institutional collaboration with the Jean Monnet Chair on EU Law of the UC, with financial support to the module and other activities. In the organization of annual seminars, the Jean Monnet Chair on EU has established collaboration with Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Cantabria and with the Inmigration Sucommission of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers (CGAE).Among the professors, there are recognized academics from various universities acting as holders of Jean Monnet Chairs, with european studies programs in area of the EU Law and external action, and recognized experts and professionals.
