Hosted youth workers will take part in one of the evaluation meetings that InformaGiovani organizes every year at the end of the summer season with young people and young offenders who took part in summer activities. Hosted youth workers will also meet one or more of the social workers involved in the Italian Department of Juvenile Justice and deal with non-formal education of young offenders, in the frame of their rehabilitation process. During the evaluation meeting (lasting two full days) they will experience the method of InformaGiovani of using local volunteering to make young offenders involved, develop their sense of ownership of society, increase their self-esteem and overcome cultural/social barriers. The evaluation moment is a crucial one in the frame of activities of InformaGiovani, since it gathers together young offenders, volunteers, leader of youth exchanges, staff, officers and social workers, making it possible to get feedback on the past season and start planning the new one. Hosted youth workers, by taking part in such a moment, will have the opportunity to experience, despite the short length of observation period, a full overview on InformaGiovani activities and methodology and will be able to improve, by the implementation of the methodology observed in the mobility, the daily intervention with young offenders that Federación Pinardi carries out.
