Exploring Diversity
Start date: Aug 1, 2015,
End date: Oct 31, 2016
PROJECT
FINISHED
The project aims to sent 7 young people through a European Voluntary Service to Portugal, Kosovo, Germany, Slovenia and Macedonia. The four volunteers going to Kosovo and Portugal (two in each organization) will start their service in 1st of October 2015 and their service will last 4 months. The rest three volunteers going to Macedonia, Germany and Slovenia will start their service on 1st of January and also their service will last 4 months. By involving hosting organizations from those countries in our project, we will give our hand of help to those, who are motivated to be involved and active. And in return, they will take part in giving hand to others in the similar situation by delivering and disseminating countless opportunities to them.
The volunteers will do the research, promote the free educational opportunities for youth, communicate with the local NGOs and help hosting organizations with organizing their activities. The volunteers will also bring their own ideas into creation of new products and eventually their own projects. All of them will be engaged in the mission of their hosting organization which is to help the young people in a need of a particular support to fulfill their educational potential as they are challenged by many educational disadvantages caused by either personal, social, cultural or economic circumstances.
We believe that during their service the volunteers will enhance their professional skills and competencies and in the same time develop on a personal level. The international experience will bring them an important sense of solidarity, mutual understanding and tolerance as well as it will be an act of active citizenship.
The partner organizations from Portugal, Germany, Slovenia and Macedonia together have a wide audience from all around the world and thanks to the volunteers contribution the cooperation between the organizations will be stronger and will result in increasing the number of young people that are informed about available volunteering opportunities and motivated to fully exploit their potential to actively participate in society.
