The project "Explore and experience Leipzig" is a project involving 5 partner organisations. FAIRbund e.V. functions as the coordinating organisation and is therefore the linking part and the coordinator of the whole project. In the framework of the project two European volunteers will come for one year to Leipzig.
Involved are as sending organisations the Association Calliope from France and Fiatal alternativa tarsasag egyesulet from Hungary and the hosting organisations BuchKindergarten gemeinnützige UG and Fröbel Waldkindergarten here in Leipzig, Germany.
The main topics of the projects are art and culture and nature and environment, which will be realised by the European volunteers in the hosting organisations in accordance with the local surroundings, the children, parents and colleagues and other volunteers assisted by the coordinating organisation FAIRbund e.V. in Leipzig. Therefore the volunteers will be actively involved in the 2 hosting organisation and assisted by the mentors and the tutor in order to realise their own projects. The aim is to realise small projects with and for children in the day care centers which will bring them closer to the idea of Europe and its different cultures. Involving the volunteers will help all participating organisations to develop further and to promote the European spirit. Especially the volunteers will get the chance to develop competences and learning experiences on very different levels, which will be evaluated and documented with the help of the Youthpass. Once a month the volunteers will meet with other participants of the program and prepare and realise activities like Europeday on 9th of May. At this kind of activities youth from Germany, Leipzig and surroundings can talk to the volunteers and they can be competent partners to motivate German youth to experience a similar adventure and to use the chances which Europe has to offer. The different contacts within the local community will make it possible to make these kind of projects more common and promote and assist projects within ERASMUS+ and especially in the program part YOUTH.
