The objective of the project is to map the operation, innovation and cooperation capacities of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the border region. A further objective is the wide dissemination of findings. Thanks to reliable research data collected in the course of the on-field surveying carried out in the project, development programmes and actions can be designed based on relevant problems and real development needs. Furthermore, the project contributes to the strengthening of cooperation among SMEs, research institutions and enterprise development organizations in the Hungary-Serbia cross-border region.Activities: 4 Background studies in the field of competitiveness of the cross-border region, enterprise development and innovation strategies of the cross-border region, special characteristics of enterprises in cross-border region in light of international scientific literature, issues of the development of cross-border regions based on their endogenous resources based on international experience. Benchmarking study on overview of other possible primary research aiming at assessing the innovation and cooperation activities of enterprises in the cross-border region.
