This project involved three volunteers: 2 female volunteers from Germany, one male volunteer from Spain. They participated in a project with 2 other volunteers from another project application. Volunteers work in Rotterdam, with a diversity of organisations, depending on their own ranking, stating their personal interests and wishes. The working schedule is developed together with the volunteers, in the first week of their arrival. Lava Legato tries to combine different age groups of volunteers and different personalities, to increase the chances of the volunteers learning from each other. Organizations involved are mainly located on the south side of Rotterdam, focussing on social activities and goals. The south side of Rotterdam is considered one of the most problematic areas of the Netherlands. Volunteers have been active from 1 September 2014 to 30 April 2015.
