The group EVS project “EVS on Bikes” will be a 2 months EVS with volunteers from six European countries. The volunteers will bring their bicycles to promote bicycle usage along with related topics among the local society. It will take place in the city of Zugdidi and in the surrounding Mengrelia region. The aims and objectives of the project are to:o Promote youth activism for environmental protection and sustainable development. o Create a short scale campaign through using bicycle in Georgia /in Mingrelia region/ which will aim to promote awareness and action among young people on environment and sustainable development;o Encourage local society to use environmental friendly mean of transportation, such as bicycle;o Promote the involvement of youth in environmental issues and development of usage on environmentally friendly means of transport such as bicycles; o Raise awareness of climate change as the biggest challenge of the XXI century;In order to reach the aims and objectives of the project, there will be organized different activities draw public attention to climate change healthy life style.
