The project included activities for 12 months for one EVS volunteer and were carried out in Riga, throughout Latvia and in the web space. The volunteer got an insight and contributed to different tasks, activities and projects of the European Movement - Latvia. The volunteer was responsible for individual and co-operation activities/projects and for contributions to ongoing European Movement activities. Participation in all public and most non-public events of the EML was be possible. This included seminars/trainings/discussions, where the volunteer in several occasions could inform Latvian youth about the possibilities that the EU offers to them and how people can take full advantage of these possibilities and to build CVs. The activities where supplemented by ideas of participation of young people in political life and co-ordination, planning meetings and in lobby and networking activities of the EML ant to give inputs in them. Communication and cooperation with other NGOs in Latvia, European Movements and its partners from other countries, including Italy and EU neighbours played an important role and helped to create a more united Europe. The volunteer actively cooperated with local volunteers and organisations and informed about EU possibilities, as well gathered and analysed information, and made publications about the EU processes in other EU member countries. Within the project, the volunteed from Italy contributed to the international cooperation for the length of project 12 months, as well to active EU citizenship and participation in decision making in Latvia. The volunteer learned to communicate key issues in Latvian and got insights in Latvian culture.
