In summary, the EVS project “CISV Norge 2014, Peace education” focused on two areas; one main area for the project and one personal project for the volunteers. 1. Further implentation of the peace educational principles of CISV in 5 differrent Peace educational weekend-trainings hosted in Norway (with a total of app. 200-230 participants). The core curriculum of the trainings are “Education for active global citizenship”. The EVS-volunteer will work toghether with a team of coordinators and trainers in designing, coordinating, implementing, evaluating and document these trainings. 2. Volunteers to designing their personal projects regarding Peace Education within the theme of Diversity and Conflict and Resolutions, which are two of the Peace Educational Focus areas of CISV. The methodology is experiential learning (or learning by doing). By doing activities the participants are more capable to learn things. The major product of the personal project was a board game focused on cooperation, minority-majority dynamics, discrimination and conflict and conflct resolution. CISV Norway has for several years now enjoyed immensely the qualities and skills that the young EVSers bring. They have contributed to reaching our goals in our Strategy and Action plan through creating new peace educational tools for the organisation, engaging other youth in our organisation, and developed our capabilities to become a more sustainable run organisation.
