The EVS project "Everyone is learning” takes place in Narva, Estonia, within 15 months from 01.08.2015 to 01.11.2016. It brings to Narva 6 EVS volunteers from Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia and UK to make their voluntary services in local communities. Volunteers will be received by 5 organizations: VitaTiim NGO, Sädemeke, Tuluke and Potsataja kindergartens and Narva Vanalinna State School. Moreover, several partnering organizations - Narva Young Sailors' Club, Narva Kesklinna Gymnasium, Narva Kreenholmi Gymnasium, will be involved into cooperation with volunteers more actively.
The main goal of the project is to encourage intercultural dialogue and learning through providing international experience at local community and promoting learning mobility. The objectives of the project are:
- to increase intercultural sensitivity in Ida-Virumaa community;
- to increase positive attitude and support to cultural diversity in Ida-Virumaa community through experience of working, living and learning together with EVS volunteers;
- to increase number of Ida-Virumaa young people and organisations engaged in EVS through raising positive awareness about European Voluntary Service as learning service and creating personal links to EVS volunteers;
- to broaden young people's and their parents' new perspectives on the world and career development opportunities through bringing up EVS volunteers' personal life and career stories.
Every volunteer will have specific activities and programmes with individual priorities and objectives depending on his/her interests, needs, competences and RO's needs and activities. Though the volunteers are expected to work in a strong cooperation with each other as well to increase an intercultural and learning dimension and strengthen positive influence in local community. The volunteers wil be of a great support for organizations’ daily activities, for making changes in the routine, bringing new ideas and developing new initiatives together with staff of receiving organizations. All activities are mostly based on practical experience as well as non-formal and informal learning.
As a result and potential longterm benefit we expect local young people and organizations to develop open-mindedness and flexibility, become more open for intercultural dialogue and willing to actively participate in social life and learning mobilities. We expect to increase participation in EVS both amongst young people and organizations. Moreover, it is expected that 6 EVS volunteers will essentially develop they professional and key competences and gain self-confidence, what help them to be happy, successful and productive in their careers.
