Event Organisers International will develop a specialist training programme aimed at event organisers working within the international arena, this is based upon the recognition that there is a lack of coherence and co-ordination within vocational training in the events industry.Following an initial needs analysis and consultation with those working in the industry (large venues and small organising companies) common learning objectives will be agreed and a common learning programme developed. The contents of the training programme, whilst being influenced by the results of the initial analysis are expected to cover topics such as; the securing of business events, the operation of successful meetings, events & resource planning, the marketing of international events, effective problem solving and the monitoring & evaluation of the success of individual events.A dedicated website will be established, to present both background information and updates on project progress, in addition to showcasing example training materials. Actual training materials will be output in both paper-based and CD-Rom format and will be presented in all partner languages (EN, DE, PT & CZ).Project results will be presented through appropriate industry journals, through specialist presentations (to respective national employer & trade associations) and through active promotion of the dedicated project website.
