Teaching languages at preschool is key. Starting a foreign language with young kids will help them to develop the earing discrimination and repeating sounds and accentuation. Therefore, it is important to build upon their abilities to reckon other-language sounds.Starting from this statement and in order to bring our pupils to CECERL level A, two teachers from kindergarten Louise Michel at Vitry sur Seine: Ms Bouras and Mr Gamet have built this project as part of a professional leave. They both have already been involved in original pedagogies. The objectives of this project are designed towards the kids. - Setting new teaching and learning methodologies.- Discovering new sounds and language initiation situation.- An opening to cultural and language diversity.- Bringing a cultural opening upon the world and sharing a European feeling.A piloting comity was funded in order to have this project moving forward. The comity will check every month that this project is on track by setting deadlines organized in four sections (partners, piloting comity, mobility, sharing feedbacks) as well as the teaching program schedules (lexical fields, language syntax and cultural inputs in French). The trainee will be responsible for using their own experience and will have to follow the agenda planed by the piloting comity. The success of the project will have a very positive impact for the school and its pedagogy will be enhanced by this field experience. Both these teachers will be recognized within the school and the district for their language-teaching skills and will be able to give support to their fellow colleagues. They will be able to share this very enriching professional and personal experience.
