Promoting institution of the project is The Secondary Technical School of Mechanical Engineering in Bratislava and its beneficiaries are the students of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Technical lycee and teachers of the school. Receiving partners are technical institutions SKF Competence Centre/SKF Technical College, Göteborg, ABB Tekniska Gymnasium, Vasteras, Sweden and Kainuun ammattiopisto, Kajaani, Finland. The project reflects the need to improve the quality of professional practice and students while motivating students to now little popular training.
Under Action 1 receiving organizations ensured for 32 participants – our students a 4-week professional practice in enterprises which provide practice for their own students. The aim of this activity is to get basic work habits and skills in working with program-controlled machines and ICT technologies to diagnose disorders, increased flexibility and adaptability of students by improving their communication skills in professional English. We expect that the project will increase the preparedness of our students for future employment and their ability to integrate into the labor market after graduation. Not least the practical experience abroad will also increase flexibility and entrepreneurship of the participants. European dimension underlines the fact that students from Finland and Sweden and teachers from Sweden took part in practice in Bratislava. It will be also a benefit for the accompanying teachers from participating schools who obtained experience in the management of professional experience that can capitalize on the adjustment and modernization of curricula and the development of school education programs.
Under Action 2 - activities focused on ECVET implementation, methodology of CLIL in vocational subjects and advanced production technology, we completed an internship for 6 teachers of Secondary School of Mechanical Engineering in Bratislava. The aim of these internships is an innovation of the school program.
