PROJECT
FINISHED
The project has been formed to fulfill our students’ needs in terms of VET traineeship (students of technical college in the fields of Information Technology, Desktop Publishing and Electricity). It is also the answer to priorities of Erasmus + programme. We have never had a chance to participate in a former projects of these kind like Leonardo Da Vinci programme before. However, we are fully aware of the benefits which are involved with taking part in this project, for many benefactors as the students, the stuff and the school itself. The sending organization is Zespol Szkol Nr 2 in Pabianice. 72 students will take part in a traineeship. The first three groups will serve four week traineeship period (28 days) in May 2016 in Spain – Valencia (12 learners) and in Germany – Chemnitz (24 learners). Next three groups will serve the same scheme of traineeship but in October 2016. The number of learners in each group has been chosen purposefully to encourage the spirit of healthy competition between them. Two, qualified staff members will be sent with each group to ensure students’ safety. Each stuff member of our school is experienced in the field of psychology, some of them have in their CV a wide, international experience in programs like Erasmus or Comenius. The teachers also took part in mobility projects between schools in Germany. Our partner countries (Spain and Germany) possess a huge experience in European Mobility Projects, they have successfully organized a VET traineeship for many learners of different countries.
The main aim of this project is to support the learners of our school in achieving and making use of the knowledge which will be obtained thanks to this programme. We are positive that they will acquire skills and qualifications in a new workplace which will have a great influence on their professional life. Nowadays, at times of international crisis and a huge unemployment rate among graduates, it will give them the advantage at labour market. They will have an opportunity to get to know the different methods of work in Spain and Germany. Moreover, their adaptation and tolerance skills will soar during their traineeship period. Before the mobility itself they will participate in many courses concerning the knowledge about the culture of the countries (Germany, Spain), their historical background and geographical location. The preparation course to mobility will be also organized for our learners, it will explain them, the main objectives and what is the most crucial the importance of Life Long Learning in their lives in connection to a constant change of labour market.
From the very beginning of the project, the students will receive the full logistic support from our school, starting from pre-mobility preparations as schedules of planned actions. We will also provide content-related and technical backup as organizing the journey, accommodation, insurance, care during and after the mobility. We are also prepared to some critical, unforeseen incidents like a toothache, breaking a limb etc. We will oversee the circulation of the documents like contracts and Europass, making sure that they will get to a proper place according to the specified time in the schedule. The project will be mainly managed by four people: the head teacher of our school – Mr. Kucharski, responsible for the final decisions, the coordinator – Mrs. Sukiennik, the administration coordinator – Mr. Kaniewski and the accountant – Mrs. Redzynia. Our partner countries will be represented by Mrs. Angeles Ruiz Gamez in Spain and Mrs. Gundula Pinillo in Germany. The coordinators of ZS nr 2 will meet regularly once a month although if necessary, the frequency of the meetings will increase. The work of the team will be coordinated according to the demand of the learners as to provide them the highest quality possible. The project will be divided into three parts: preparation to mobility – mobility-VET traineeship and after-mobility activities. The learners, the partner countries cooperation, the compliance with the results and the main aims of the mobility will be evaluated properly. The evaluation will make learners aware of the achieved goals.
We are aware of the great benefits concerning participation in this programme, the prestige of our institution will increase which will have a great impact on the recruitment. Our staff will gain the experience in coordinating projects like these, which would be vital to the improvement of our school and the most important benefit is the students’ personal and professional development.
