The project entitled "The European traineeships as the Key to the Career" will begin on 1st October 2016 and will last for12 months. The participants of the project will be 30 students of the John Paul II Complex of Schools in Miechow, Poland who specialise to be car mechanics technicians, hotel services technician and food and catering technicians. The students will take part in 4-week internships in German companies. The traineeships will take place in May 2017. Before the mobility the students will be properly prepared for that, i.e. they will take part in motivation workshops, extra classes of professional German and culture classes which should prepare them for the stay in Germany. They will also get the personal accident insurance, liability insurance and the health insurance cards respected in the EU. They will get pocket money and uniforms that comply to the requirements of the German employers. The participants will be hosted by our partner, i.e. the Vitalis GmbH, they will stay in the Vitalis hostel, they will get accommodation, food, access to cultural and entertainment facilities as well as linguistic and emotional support from the partner company. They will be accompanied by two teachers, who will take care of them on the daily basis, which will give the students more confidence in their own capabilities. As a school we have been carrying our variety of educational activities that aimed at adapting our students to the requirements of the market economy, but we have not organized foreign traineeships yet. We do hope that they will give our students better prospects for employment after the graduation. We expect the participants will become more innovative, more open to other cultures and more communicative. We believe that such mobility will raise their professional, personal, social and organizational skills. The students will be awarded with the unified European certificates which will make them valuable candidates for employers, not only in Poland but also in other European countries. This project is an opportunity to make our school more recognizable internationally, to establish contacts with foreign companies and strengthen the cooperation with foreign partners on the field of vocational training. We would also like it to help us to increase the educational mobility of our students and to prepare them for working and functioning in the united Europe. We hope it will improve the quality of teaching in our school and make us fit the requirements of the European work market. We do hope that our partner will also benefit from that project. They will get further organizational experience and better knowledge of Polish vocational education system. They will be able to create better traineeship programs in the future. We expect that our staff will also benefit from this project, because it will affect their ability of foreign language communication, the openness to other cultures and the sense of tolerance towards others.
