Start date: Dec 31, 2015, End date: Dec 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project "European professional competence - creative graduate of a technical school" aims at the mobility of young people in education, which concerns training in vocational education. Students are young people learning to be IT or economic technicians. The project involves the participation in a two-week professional training in Dresden of 19 students training to be economists and 12 students enrolled in the profession of an IT technician. Project participants are students aged 17-18 years who attend one of the schools of Jan Kasprowicz School in Sztum and two teachers who will be the guardians of the youth. The host institution in Germany is WBS TRAINING AG, a training company with years of experience in the field of mobility. The aim of the project is the development and improvement of language skills, professional qualifications and competences necessary for their personal development, future employment and for active European citizenship. The IT students will gain the abilities connected with the creation and presentation of web pages, while economic technicians will be able to gain entrepreneurial skills and those connected with the establishment and operation of companies on the European market. The trip is planned for October, 2015. Each action of mobility was determined in compliance with the quality framework previously agreed by and between the sending and receiving organisation to ensure a high level of quality in relation to a particular action. The cooperation on the project between the sending and receiving institution began in November, 2014. The actions meant to achieve the objectives were determined systematically, which concerns the following: • The duration of the training and appointment in Germany, • The costs of training, accommodation, meals, organization of free time, • Content of the training • The numbers of young people’s carers • The project management, • Documentation relating to the project, in the form of contracts, agreements and certificates. Jan Kasprowicz School in Sztum will be responsible for the insurance and organization of students’ travel from Sztum to Dresden and back, whereas WBS Training in Dresden will be responsible for the organization of accommodation, transport in Dresden, the organization of leisure, food and training. All the assumptions concerning the contents of the training, methods and ways of assessment are known to the young people prior to the training. They will be constantly evaluated by both partners. WBS prepares a final report that includes a review of all the activities at each stage. In case of the hard results, the number of certificates of participation in the training and Europass Mobility will help to assess if the objectives have been achieved. As far as the soft results are concerned, continuous monitoring and evaluation will be applied. Expected soft results: • Gaining additional professional skills, • Improvement of linguistic skills, especially the English language for the profession, • Increase of the project participants’ mobility and the increase of their chances of Benefits for the project participants • Gaining practical experience and new skills (certificates), • Learning foreign languages, in particular specialist vocabulary, • Increase of openness and mobility, • Increase of opportunities in the labor market, • Awareness of the necessity of further education, • Improvement of intercultural, computer, mathematical and entrepreneurial competence. Thanks to the project, both our school and the WBS will gain experience increasing their abilities to act at the international level. Planning, coordination and implementation of the mobility will increase management skills, will help to prepare the next projects and to implement activities related to the mobility of students and the staff teaching them. Implementation of the mobility will affect the attractiveness of school education on the local market. The subsequent actions of an international character will be attractive learning solutions to improve students’ qualifications.
