The project „European quality in our local school” envisages the participation of teachers in 2 weeks language, methodology and CLIL courses which takes place in Great Britain and Republic of Malta from July to October 2016.The main goals of the projects are:1) Improvement of teachers qualifications and language skills2) Tolerance promotion3) Modernization of the curriculum ( sylabus)4) Development of CLIL 5) Using new technologies in teaching and international cooperation6) Fighting with failures in learning and ensuring students skills needed in today’s working places11 teachers from junior high school are involved in the project ( 3 English teachers, 2 Maths teachers, 2 Polish teachers, 2 History teachers, the school’s librarian and the school’s psychologist); 7 of them will take place in General English courses, one in a methodology course and two in CLIL.The project realization will start with choosing participants based on fulfiled criteria. According to filled questionnaires by all of participants, concerning their training needs, the courses and language schools will be chosen and then the accomodation and transport will be organized. Teachers will improve their English before leaving for the course. They will prepare multimedia presentations and gadgets promoting Poland, the region and the school for participants from other countries and host families. Participants of methodology and CLIL courses will prepare the list of topics and issues that they will want to discuss during courses which are based on their personal experience as well as the issues raised by other teachers at the preparatory meeting.Teachers taking part in the project will be obligated to prepare photorelation and short reports while staying abroad and presenting them to Parent Board and School’s Managment and also conduct lessons for other teachers. The whole project will be based on fixed arrangements.After compliting the project, following results should be achieved:1) Improved language skills among the teachers who participated2) Greater tolerance3) Innovations in the way of teaching ( CLIL)4) More subjects teaching with CLIL5) Introducing the MOODLE Learning Platform 6) Equality among studentsIn the future thanks to this Project our students will be more successful in exams and in their future career. Our students will also get a chance to exchange views and participate in school exchanges with other schools from UE and become real European citizen.
