Start date: May 1, 2011,
The participants of the project is Warsaws youth of the eighteen districts of the capital. These are people at the age from 15 to 20, but they are also students and people with the issue of youth policy. The themes of the project are: Warsaw as the capital of Europe during the Polish presidency in the EU, Volunteer, Youth policy, improvement of active youth participation in local government. The project aims to improve awareness of the young residents of Warsaw on topics related to the European Union and their active participation in society as a key to the development of cities, countries and Europe. We want to give knowledge on how an important event is the Polish presidency in the EU. Currently, young people know more about EURO2012 than the presidency. Debates to be held in each district of Warsaw and an urban debate will be conducted with the use of non-formal methods. We want to use a lot of creativity and visualization exercises, which are faster and more efficiently operate on teenagers than a simple debate and lectures. Project will result in greater knowledge, the development of thinking, opened the minds of young people. We hope that after these meetings, participants will join actively in social life through their actions, to include youth groups, associations, are aware of how important the Polish presidency and will be ready for it. Project will result in a film. It will be the educational and intended for schools and other youth organizations interested in the subject project. We are going to put on many of the practical and technical information, which will provide the knowledge, even after the project.
