Start date: Feb 1, 2015, End date: Oct 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

ITP was founded in 2008, We were granted funding from The Crime Prevention team to produce an Urban CD, 17 young people took part in this project all of them writing their own lyrics and music around the dangers of getting involved in violence, crime and Anti Social Behaviour, This album sold out in local music retailers HMV. We were then funded for 3yrs by the Home Office to assist with the prevention of Guns, gangs and Knife Crime, which we do through workshops, youth clubs, Music Performances and mentoring. ITP work with young people between the ages of 7-25. Alongside the gang prevention work, we also provide support and Advice to young people around Bullying, Grooming, Self harm and Drugs and alcohol. We run 4 Sessions a week (A Girls club, A Junior Youth Club, A Senior Youth Club and a Saturday Club). Most of our Workshops are carried out through Music, Dance, Drama, Sport and Art. We provide an outreach service called Peace Peddlers, this is 2 youth workers that go out on bicycles to areas of the city identified by the Police and Local Authority to engage with the harder to reach young people who are at risk of getting involved in Anti-social behaviour and sign post them to local youth provision. Our vision of the Increase the Peace Project is to ensure all children and young people who access the service receive the support they need to achieve their full potential by aiming to provide a safe, stimulating and inspiring environment for young people. Our core belief is that many children and young people need support to realise their potential. Our mission is to ensure children and young people have the opportunity to achieve their full potential by providing high quality services that meet their needs. Empowering We work with children and young people from all backgrounds and work with them to enable them to lead positive lives We work alongside other professionals to achieve our aims • Community-oriented We believe in the power of communities to support their members.
