„European youth in Minsk” is an individual EVS Project. Two volunteers from Germany will be staying for 12 months in Belarus working for the NGO in Minsk that has special open youth center. The volunteer will develop personal competences living and working in new environment as well as contribute to local community working with young people from different social, educational, economic backgrounds. Important part of the volunteer’s activities is working out and delivering educational and artistic workshops for young people at the open youth center. The volunteer will be also involved into working with modern technologies often used in youth work – IT, maintaining blogs and pages in different social networks. As well, as the Youth Centre works more with young people with less possibilities now, the volunteer will research local associations which work in this field and will be able to start their integration and inclusion there. The volunteers will greatly improve their interpersonal and social competencies, such as adaptability and facing new challenges, team-working with colleagues and sharing responsibilities. They should be able to strengthen their communication skills in Russian/Belorussian.
