CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVESInstituto de Enseñanza Secundaria A Pinguela (I.E.S. A Pinguela) (http://www.iesapinguela.es) is a public College located in Monforte de Lemos, a town on the north-west of Spain (Galicia), that offers secondary, bachillerato (16-18) and VET (high and medium level). It is located in a rural area which is under-industrialised and we are committed to give to all our students the opportunity to experience mobility in Europe to improve their competences and employability.This project is aimed to VET students and teachers, having the following objectives:1. For students, to validate On the Job training module (FCT) with a placement on a company abroad2. To improve competence on the host country language3. For teachers, to get updated on latest market products and techniques to be incorporated to their teaching4. For IES A Pinguela to reinforce a network of european partners, to enrich mobility offers to students and teachers5. For host partners to benefit form participants experience and know-how.ACTIVITIESIES A Pinguela offers 4 VET courses PEINADO Y COSMÉTICA CAPILAR (2 year+FCT), ESTÉTICA Y BELLEZA (2 year+FCT), GESTIÓN ADMINISTRATIVA (2year+FCT) and SISTEMAS MICROINFORMÁTICOS Y REDES (3 year+FCT)Student mobilities will last for the duration of the whole FCT (10 weeks) to better meet objectives 1 and2.Apr-Jun 2017: 2 students from GESTIÓN and 2 students from ESTETICA in companies in Italy. 1 student from GESTION in a company in France. 2 students from PEINADO in companies in Portugal.Apr-Jun 2018: 1 student from GESTION and 2 students from PEINADO in companies in Italy and 1 student from GESTION in a company in France and 1 student from ESTETICA in a company in Italy.Oct-dec 2016 and oct-dec 2017: 2 students from SISTEMAS MICROINFORMÁTICOS in companies in the UKTeacher mobilities will be:June 2016: one teacher of Beauty will do a one week period of job-shadowing in a company in the UK June 2017: one teacher of Beauty will do one week of job-shadowing in a company in the UK and one teacher of Business and administration will do a job-shadowing in a company in Italy.METHODOLOGYA mobility commission will be formed by VET tutors, the project coordinator , the head of school and a teacher responsible for the linguistic and cultural training; to assure that all professional families are involved. It will carry on the following tasks: select participants, define training agreements, monitor work placements, evaluate and certify work-placements. This commission is responsible for running the project together with partners:IIS Biagio Pascal and IIS E. Montale Nuovo IPC support the selection of companies and participants, facilitate communication between IES A Pinguela and host companies and cooperate in organizing the trip. Host companies from IT, Administration and Hair & Beauty sectors : agree on the training program, designate a tutor in the company; collaborate in the evaluation of the participants and with the dissemination of the project. Participants organise their trips supported by IES A Pinguela, take their linguistic, cultural and practical preparation both at IES A Pinguela and via OLS , take responsabilities for the on the job training module and integrate on the social life of the destination city. RESULTS AND IMPACT- To improve professional, linguistic and personal competences for the participants- To validate the on the job training module having adquired necesary learning outcomes- To increase employment opportunities for participants.- To make participants European citizens- To improve teaching methodology in VETLONG TERM BENEFITS- To consolidate mobility offer for VET students and teachers- To built up a network of Colleges and companies across Europe.- To get involved in partnership project s with schools and companies.
